Brandon C. Roberts

President, Owner, Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer.

Brandon is the President and sole owner of Roberts Funeral Home. He is a native of Trade, Tennessee and is a 2003 graduate of Johnson County High School. He attended and graduated from Gupton - Jones College of Funeral Service in Decatur, Georgia (Atlanta) with an associate's degree in Funeral Service. He began his career in funeral service in his hometown of Mountain City, TN at the age of 17. He began as a funeral assistant and eventually worked his way up, becoming a licensed funeral director and embalmer and serving as the manager of the funeral home. It was in 2013 that the late John B. Eggers of Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs and Chesnee sought out and enlisted Brandon as an employee. Mr. Eggers had grown up in the same area as Brandon and knew him and his family well. Brandon was quickly promoted to the role of Vice President of Eggers Funeral Homes. He continued serving as Vice President even after Mr. Eggers' death in April 2016 and continued serving until December 2020 when he purchased his first funeral home in Georgia and left the company at that time after 7 and a half years of managing Eggers Funeral Homes. Shortly before his departure from Eggers Funeral Homes, the funeral homes were sold to Southern Funeral Group and the Eggers family was no longer associated. In 2022, Kyle Wilkes approached Brandon about purchasing his funeral home in Georgia. Roberts - Stewart Funeral Home was then sold and the name of the firm changed to Wilkes Funeral Home as it is today. Citing the need for a locally owned and operated funeral home in the area, Brandon returned back to Boiling Springs and opened Roberts Funeral Home on March 13, 2023. He is licensed as a funeral director and embalmer in three states, South Carolina #3730, North Carolina #2924, and Tennessee Funeral Director #6379 and Tennessee Embalmer #6380.

Gerald Hutchins

Licensed Funeral Director, Funeral Home Manager.

Gerald is a native of Boiling Springs. He is a graduate of Boiling Springs High School and the University of South Carolina. Gerald is married to Lori Bolton Hutchins and they have two children, Garrett and Natalie and they are all members of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church. After his retirement from BMW, he became a funeral director in 2017 and worked for Eggers Funeral Home and Dunbar Funeral Home until he became employed at Roberts Funeral Home and serves as it's manager. Gerald is a licensed funeral director.

Roger Crittenden

Non-Licensed Funeral Assistant

Roger serves the funeral home as a funeral assistant. He helps the directors with the day to day operation of the funeral home as well as serving his community at any of our funeral or memorial services.

Mary Gramling

Non-Licensed Funeral Assistant

Mary is a lifelong resident of Boiling Springs. She is a Graduate of Boiling Springs High School and attended USCS. She retired from a career in sales and has worked the last 15 years as a part time caregiver. She is a funeral assistant serving her community during funerals and visitations and assisting the needs of the funeral directors.

Jessie West

Non-Licensed Funeral Assistant

Jessie is a graduate of Paul M. Dorman High School. He has served families through his work at Eggers Funeral Home; the Cremation Society of South Carolina; and now assists us here at Roberts Funeral Home. He is dedicated to guiding families with compassion and care during life's most difficult times. Rooted in his community, Jessie enjoys music, sports, true crime, thrift shopping, and sharing his passion as an entertainment expert. He is honored to support families with both professionalism and warmth.
